for those who need food

Knox County Food Council creates comprehensive schedule of all area food pantry, assistance centers

Mon, 04/20/2020 - 10:00am
The Knox County Food Council has been working to help all of the food pantry and food assistant services better work together and eliminate duplicated efforts since the COVID-19 outbreak hit the region.

While still work in progress, the Council was positioned to effectively publish current information for those who need food.

The Council has subsequently pulled all the information together into a comprehensive schedule that is easy to read and understand, and has a public-facing webpage that has a services list day by day (KCfoodcouncil.com).

The Council also created a Facebook Group for all service providers to share information and redistribute food when necessary (https://www.facebook.com/groups/KCfoodCouncil/).

And, the Council has printed flyers that were being distributed through the food pantries and circulating throughout the community.
