Waldoboro Police beat: Theft, accidents, stolen chickens
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 307 calls for service from Dec. 9-20. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Dec. 9
Officer Chase Bosse is investigating a report from a citizen about receiving threatening phone calls.
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from Hannaford about a theft.
Dec. 10
Jeanette Wordock, 66, of Bristol, was issued a summons by Officer Dwight Jones for speed.
Christopher Brown, 52, of Washington, was issued a summons by Jones for uninspected motor vehicle.
Jones is investigating a report from the Family Dollar Store about a theft.
Dec.11
Bosse investigated an accident at the Atlantic Highway/Washington Road/Main Street intersection at 12:23 a.m. Jeffrey Gracie, 56, of Washington, was stopped at the traffic light on the Atlantic Highway in the turning lane. Luke Noonan, 22, of Union, came up behind Gracie and was unable to stop.
Luke Noonan, 22, of Union, was issued a summons by Bosse for failing to report an accident and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury.
Jones investigated an accident on the Friendship Road at 6:43 a.m. Michelle Rolerson, 46, of Waldoboro, was traveling northbound following the roadway, when a dog ran out in front of her vehicle and was hit underneath the bumper.
Dec. 12
Keeleigh Weaver, 21, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Jones for speeding.
Amy McLeod, 44, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Jones for uninspected motor vehicle.
Dec. 14
Derick Winslow, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Fuller on a warrant.
Jones is investigating a theft report from Irving Mainway.
Dec. 17
Chief John Lash investigated an accident on the Chapel Road at 2:21 p.m. A male juvenile, 16, of Washington, was traveling northbound on the Chapel Road, lost control and went off the road, flipping onto the vehicle’s passenger side.
Jones investigated an accident in a parking lot off of the Atlantic Highway, at 3:28 p.m. Danica Daniello, 25, of Waldoboro, pulled in to park in front of the Golden Wok and accidently hit the gas pedal, striking the building.
Joshua Drinkwater, 35, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Thomas Bartunek for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to provide proof of insurance.
Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen about stolen chickens.
Dec. 18
Jones investigated an accident on the Friendship Rd at 6:12 a.m. Naomi McPhee, 62, of Waldoboro, was traveling northbound, following the roadway, when deer ran out in front of her causing her to hit the deer.
Jones investigated an accident on the Bremen Road at 12:58 p.m. Penelope Johnston, 79, of Waldoboro, was traveling northbound, following the roadway, lost control and went off the road, striking a sign.
Dec. 19
Henry Groth Kennard, 34, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Jones for speeding.
