Medomak 7th boys basketball tops Troy Howard

WALDOBORO — The seventh grade boys basketball teams from Medomak and Troy Howard met on the court in Waldoboro on Thursday, Dec. 5. 

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 13-4, 21-9 and 44-9 en route to a 44-17 victory. 

With the win, Medomak improved its record to 1-1. 

Scoring for Medomak were Vishal Mellor (10 points), Jack Martin (eight), Gabe Lash (seven), Ryan Cameron (four), Liam Belyea (four), Carrick Lally (four), Gavin White (two), Aiden Abbotoni (two), Porter Gahagan (two) and Liam Winchenbach (one). 

Scoring for Troy Howard were Clark Cole (four points), Jacob Lindelor (four), Luke Littlefield (three), Colton Luce (two), Same Duvall (two) and Caden Nickerson (two). 

“The young men played exceptional team defense and added a very balanced scoring attack for the victory,” said Medomak coach Patrick Delahanty.

The next contest for Medomak will be Tuesday, Dec. 10 at home against Oceanside. 

The next contest for Troy Howard will be Tuesday, Dec. 10 on the road against Camden-Rockport.
