Five local boys soccer teams qualify for playoffs

The 2019 boys soccer regular season has come to a close and five local teams have qualified for the playoffs.

Here are the final regular season records for all the teams in our coverage area, as well as the playoff seeds and opening round playoff games.

The preliminary round will take place Friday, Oct. 25 for Class D teams and Saturday, Oct. 26 for Class A, B, C teams. 

The quarterfinals will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The semifinals will be held Friday, Nov. 1 for Class A and D teams and Saturday, Nov. 2 for Class B and C teams.

The regional finals are set for Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Class A and C teams and Wednesday, Nov. 6 for Class B and D teams.

The state championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 9.

Islesboro 5-3-1 Class D South Finished 6th (of 15)

Opening Round Playoff Pairings

Class A North: #3 Camden Hills earned a bye in the preliminary round; to host #6 Mount Blue in the regional quarterfinals. 

Class B South: #2 Medomak Valley earned a bye in the preliminary round; to host the winner of #7 York versus #10 Lincoln Academy in the regional quarterfinals. 

Class C North: #3 Mount View earned a bye in the preliminary round; to host #6 Central in the regional quarterfinals. 

Class D South: #6 Islesboro earned a bye in the preliminary round; to travel to #3 Pine Tree Academy in the regional quarterfinals. 

Class D South: #10 Vinalhaven/North Haven will travel to #7 North Yarmouth Academy.
