Two area golf teams qualify for states; six local players qualify as individuals
VASSALBORO — The Medomak Valley, Belfast and Oceanside golf teams hit the road to Vassalboro on Tuesday, Oct. 1 to participate in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference state qualifying event at the Natanis Golf Course.
Qualifying from the area for the state tournament as a team are Belfast and Medomak Valley. The team state championship will be played at the same site Saturday, Oct. 5.

Carson Murphy, Sean Sebrey, Thomas Parker, James Ritter, Tommy Walker and Austin Chilles qualified for the individual state golf tournament to be played at the same site Saturday, Oct. 12.
Those qualifying individually will also be named to the KVAC all-conference team for earning berths in the individual state tournament.
