THOMASTON — Donna G. Maddocks, “Mammie”, died peacefully, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. Her loving family was at her side.

Born in Damariscotta, she was raised and attended school in the local area.

A caring and nurturing woman, she went to work as a young woman at the Lucette Boarding Home in Thomaston. For over 40 years she assisted the residences there on a daily basis. Never having a driver’s license, she walked to work no matter what the weather.

Her granddaughter remembers, Donna had the ‘gift of gab.’ She was easy to talk to, and could start up a conversation wherever she went. Donna had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cat, ‘Cupcake’.

She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Predeceased by her husband Eugene Maddocks in 1992, Donna is survived by her sons, Scott Reynolds and his wife Vicky of Brooks; Steve Reynolds and his wife Crystal of Rockland; her step-brother Shanney Pease and his wife Beverly of Cushing; four grandchildren, Stacey McClure and her husband James of Rockport; Corey Reynolds and his significant other Adrianne of Ellsworth,;Travis Reynolds and his wife Kelly of Rockport; Rachel Putansu and her husband Davin of Owls Head; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson with a great-great-granddaughter on the way.

A private family gathering will be held on May 26, 2019.
