Woman arrested after allegedly pinning ex with vehicle
SWANVILLE — A Prospect woman was arrested following a violent altercation with an ex-boyfriend on Swan Lake Avenue Sept. 26, according to Sergeant Nick Oettinger, of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
Tyana Chadwick, 21, was charged with domestic violence terrorizing and aggravated assault following the early evening incident, which was reported to law enforcement by Waldo County General Hospital staff.
The assault reportedly began when both parties were driving in separate vehicles. Chadwick was driving behind a vehicle operated by the victim, who had two passengers with him, including a four-year-old child.
Chadwick followed the vehicle closely before both vehicles pulled off to the side of the road to talk, resulting in an argument. She reportedly slapped the man several times during the confrontation, Oettinger said.
At some point during the incident, the report said, the victim became concerned Chadwick might rear-end the vehicle he was operating, which still held two passengers.
In an effort to prevent this from happening, the victim stood between the two vehicles, at which point Chadwick pulled her car forward to pin the man between them.
The altercation continued after both parties returned to their vehicles, with Chadwick tailgating the victim until he pulled into a residence. She reportedly slapped the victim several more times before leaving the scene.
The victim later sought medical treatment for his knee, which was found to be damaged, but not broken. When asked how he sustained the injury, medical staff learned of the assault and reported it to law enforcement.
As of the writing of this article Chadwick is still incarcerated at Two Bridges Regional Jail.
Chadwick is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3.
