Why I'm voting for Christopher (Chrisso) Rheault
Two candidates are vying for an open seat on the Camden Select Board. I've looked at both, based on their public statements. Both are good-hearted and mean well for our town but it’s easy to see that the best qualified is Chrisso Rheault.
With his dedication to the health and resilience of his home town, Chrisso has worked long and hard in a variety of public volunteer positions, including the very tough one of serving on the Budget Committee, which he has done for four long years, and on the Zoning Board of Appeals before that.
He’s also a strong proponent for the Snow Bowl, one of Camden's often unrecognized jewels, and understands how much value that institution brings — economic, social, and health-wise, too.
In his public statements, Chrisso shows a clear understanding of the many problems the town faces, from aging infrastructure to the need for housing for workers who can no longer afford to live where they work. While honoring the past, he is well aware of future challenges and the necessary adjustments that must be made now if we are to survive and thrive in the future.
I think he will bring intelligence, experience, and, not the least important, good humor to the Select Board. I'll vote for Chrisso and urge others to do the same.
