I met John Viehman several years ago while working at the Rockport Library Foundation. As vice chair, John led us in raising $2.5 million to build the new library. His exceptional leadership and marketing experience were instrumental to the success of the fundraising activities. He is the most focused and organized person I know and is a pleasure to work with.

You probably know John from his tireless work as president of United Midcoast Charities, which provides funding for more than 35 community nonprofits. He has also served on the Rockport Planning Board and Budget and Investment Committee and is ready to serve on the Rockport Select Board on day one.

I can’t think of anyone with more experience to serve and better suited to steer Rockport on the proper course. I enthusiastically support John Viehman for the Rockport Select Board and hope you will join me in voting for him.
