LINCOLNVILLE — The identity of a body found near Lincolnville Beach June 3 has been released by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Jonah Farley, 30, of Union, according to a June 10 press release from Waldo County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Cody Laite.

The body appeared to have washed up on the shoreline near the Beach and was discovered by passersby, who reported the discovery to Waldo County Regional Communications Center. 

According to the release, Farley had been reported as missing to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office May 18, 2024.

Multiple law enforcement and the Maine Forest Service have assisted in the investigation thus far, including: Maine State Police, the Knox County SO, and Camden Police. 

No cause of death has been released.
