THOMASTON — Watts Hall Community Players are holding auditions for its upcoming summer show, Once Upon a Mattress

Auditions will be held in Watts Hall on Main Street, Thomaston, Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Sunday, April 7, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Performance dates will be June 28, 29, 30 and July 5 and 6. Those unable to make any of these days should contact the director, Lynna Henderson, at starstruk@gmail.com.

Sean Fleming will once again share his talents as music director and orchestra manager.

In this fun-filled take on the classic fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea, a cast of medieval aristocrats put a feisty and free-spirited princess through the wringer before she can marry the hapless prince. Full of courtiers and jesters, royalty and royal chaos, the characters of this classic play search for the perfect bride for an imperfect situation.

There are parts for performers of all ages and abilities. Families with children are especially encouraged to participate, according to the Players, in a news release.

There are jobs available off stage, as well, requiring varying amounts of time and commitment. Those wishing to help or learn more may come to auditions or email the director.

The director welcomes questions via starstruk@gmail.com. Contact her for more information about the show or how to best prepare for auditions.
