SOUTH THOMASTON — This weekend, South Thomaston and the water testing company, A&L Laboratory, are teaming up to offer property owners a chance to get their water analyzed.

Test kits and informational materials are to be distributed on Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15, at the Gilford Butler Center. 2-4  p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Sample collection will occur on Monday morning so that the samples can be delivered to the laboratory within hold time. Test results will be made available in less than a week.

The town will follow this with a radon screening in the fall in an effort to bring the principles of public health to residents. South Thomaston has funds to pay for screening for those who need it, according to a news release.
