Waldoboro Police beat: OUI, stolen copper tubing, assault
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 143 calls for service from May 1-8. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
May 4
Casey Hanna, 32, of New Harbor, was arrested by Sgt. Jamie Warren on a warrant.
May 5
A 16-year-old male, of Waldoboro, was charged by Officer Chris Spear for assault.
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of some copper tubing.
May 7
Tucker Phinney, 24, of Bristol, was issued a summons by Officer John Lash for operating under the influence.
Fuller investigated an accident on the Bremen Road at 10:59 a.m. Gordon Merry, 85, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1999 Pontiac van. Craig Prior, 64, of Bremen, was driving a Nissan pickup truck. Merry pulled out onto Bremen Rd, failed to yield right of way to the oncoming vehicle driven by Prior. Injuries were reported.
