BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity March 11-28. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    March 11

April N. Pickering, 33, of Morrill, was issued summonses for operating after suspension and attaching false plates on Curtis Road in Swanville.

    March 20

Kyle T. Shwartz, 22, of Winterport, was issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation and failure to provide proof of insurance on Oak Hill Road in Swanville.

    March 25

Matthew T. Kinney, 29, of Palermo, was arrested for operating under the influence on Turner Ridge Road in Palermo.

Deputy Ryan Jackson responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Turner Ridge Road in Palermo where a southbound vehicle making a left turn into a private driveway partially obstructed the northbound lane. The first vehicle, a 2007 Nissan, caused a northbound vehicle to swerve in order to avoid colliding. It is noted in the official accident report that the southbound vehicle, operated by Matthew Kinney, 29, failed to yield the right-of-way to the northbound vehicle. Kinney was reportedly arrested for operating under the influence, with a subsequent breathalyzer revealing his blood alcohol content to be .26, according to the report. Neither driver was injured in the accident and Kinney’s vehicle was undamaged. The second vehicle, a 2006 Dodge, was towed due to disabling damage. The Dodge also damaged a private lawn while avoiding colliding with the Nissan.

    March 27

Michael S. Fuller, 37, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was issued summonses for operating after suspension and violation of bail on North Mountain Valley Highway in Montville.
