WALDO — Waldo County Technical Center (WCTC), a career and technical education center which serves the students of Belfast, Mount View, and Searsport school districts, hosted its annual FAFSA Fiesta Night on October 10.

This event provides assistance to families in filling out their federal financial aid forms, one of the first steps in preparing for college.

Thirty-two families of high school seniors were assisted during the event. All participants were also invited to take part in a free taco bar and an Amazon gift card was given to each high school senior who participated.

FAME Maine, the MELMAC foundation and WCTC work in conjunction to ease the journey to college preparedness for Waldo County’s families.

This event was sponsored by FAME Maine and MELMAC Education Foundation.
