Vandals ransack St. George home
At approximately 3:45 p.m, May 9, a caretaker of property on Wallston Road in St. George reported the vacant residence there had been vandalized.
Deputy Arthur Smith and Detective Don Murray are investigating the home’s damage, estimated at more than $50,000. They will be interviewing the owners today, who were out of state, to see if anything was stolen. Evidence was gathered and the investigation will continue.
“It's unclear of the time frame we're looking at from when the vandalism occurred to its discovery,” reported the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, in a news release. “By the extent of damage, there is obviously more than one person responsible.”
