AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its COVID-19 vaccination by ZIP code tacker.
With the data update, the Maine CDC continues to urge all individuals in Maine — resident or not — to receive either two shots of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
As per Maine CDC guidance, the below table is sorted by ZIP code since some ZIP codes could span multiple towns. As such, Maine CDC noted the data should not be directly broken down by town and referred to instead by ZIP code.
The below data will be updated periodically, roughly every two weeks, by the Maine CDC.
Vaccination rates and the number of remaining unvaccinated residents of all ages are estimated using the number of residents of all ages of each zip code who had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (at least one dose of Pfizer or Moderna or a sole dose of Johnson & Johnson), as reported to the Maine CDC through Sept. 20.
The number of people vaccinated in each ZIP code includes seasonal residents who were vaccinated while living in Maine, according to the Maine CDC.
The Maine CDC color coordinates its vaccine zip code tracker into four colors:
Green indicates 60 percent or more of residents are vaccinated and less than 2,000 residents are unvaccinated.
Blue indicates 59 percent or less of residents are vaccinated and less than 2,000 residents are unvaccinated.
Red indicates 59 percent or less of residents are vaccinated and 2,000 or more residents are unvaccinated.
Yellow indicates 60 percent or more residents are vaccinated and 2,000 or more residents are unvaccinated.
