Three area football teams qualify for playoffs
The 2019 football regular season has come to a close and three local teams have qualified for the playoffs.
In Class D South, Camden Hills is not eligible to participate in the playoffs since the Windjammers opted to play in a lower classification than they were assigned by the state’s high school athletics association.
Here are the final regular season records for all the teams in our coverage area as well as the playoff seeds and opening round playoff games.
The quarterfinals will be held the weekend of Nov. 1, the semifinals the weekend of Nov. 8 and the regional finals the weekend of Nov. 15.
The Class C state championship will be held Friday, Nov. 22 at the University of Maine.
The Class D state championship will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.
