Thomaston Grammar students recognized for teamwork

THOMASTON — Several Thomaston Grammar students were recognized for the attribute of Teamwork at an assembly, Thursday, February 28.
Billy Martin, a former New York Yankees’ coach, once said, “There’s nothing greater in the world than when somebody on a team does something good, and that one player pats that somebody on the back.”
The students recognized are true team players, according to Thomaston Grammar School, in a news release. Each student is that player who pats others on the back.
In many situations in the classroom or on the playground, these students are the ones who see that everyone works together as a team. They think of the group rather than themselves. They see to it that collaboration, compromise, and cooperation are keys to teamwork.
Sophia Davis was also presented with the Principal’s Award. Sophia always has a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Her positive attitude shines through as soon as she enters the building in the morning. The first thing that she does is politely and excitedly greet everyone she sees.
She cares about her fellow classmates and the staff at Thomaston Grammar School. She is a good student, teammate, friend, and community member.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards this month!
