Thomaston Grammar School students perform winter concert

    THOMASTON — On Friday, December 14 Thomaston Grammar School held its annual Winter Concert. The concert was led by music teacher Dr. James Boyd.

    Due to the size of the student body, the school held three concerts during the same day: one for students K-1, one for grades 2-3, and one for grades 4-5. During the kindergarten and 1st grade concert the audience heard Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, My Dreidel, and more.

    During the 2nd and 3rd grade concert the audience heard A Turkey Named Bert, Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, and more.

    During the 4th and 5th grade concert the audience heard Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, as well as Techno Days of Christmas, Home for the Holidays, Hanukkah Festival, and more. Students in 4th and 5th grade also showed some of their skills on ukuleles, and the 5th grade beginner band played songs including: Merrily We Roll Along, Blues in B-Flat, Hot Cross Buns, and more. It was a wonderful holiday event!
