With the summer coming to an end and our 26th program year starting next week, I look back on this summer’s fundraising efforts, grateful for the community’s support. Thank you for being a part of our summer’s community events, whether you ran, walked  or bid, you are also a part of our success. Thomaston Trek 5K/10K and the Art Auction both went virtual this year and together raised $14,625. A total of $4,800 was raised by students to support their yearly program dues, which will enable students to participate in activities and experiences throughout the year, like the sailing, cooking, climbing activities that we offered this summer.

As students head back to school, our team feels incredibly grateful and energized to be able to do what we do. Trekkers programming offers what we’ve heard is critical for students right now – unwavering connection to peers and caring mentors, development of social-emotional skills, and experiences that spark interests and keep students engaged. Every dime of what’s been raised will be put towards our mission – cultivating the inherent strengths of young people through the power of long-term mentoring relationships. This year, our goal is to help our students navigate whatever is ahead with much-needed supports in place.
