TD Beach to Beacon 10K debuts new brand and logo, honoring its legacy while looking to the future
After 28 years, the TD Beach to Beacon 10K is getting a fresh new look, which was revealed June 29, 2026 at a celebratory event held at Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, according to a news release.
As a drumroll was performed by drummers from Cape Elizabeth High School and members of the band Valentine, race founder Joan Benoit Samuelson; race director Dave McGillivray; Catherine Adams, Head US Corporate Sponsorships & Premium Experiences of TD Bank U.S.; and TD Beach to Beacon 10K Board of Directors President Laurie Mitchell unveiled the new logo, designed by Words from the Woods. They were joined on stage by representatives of the race's sponsors, volunteers, past and present beneficiaries, and runners who help make the race possible.
“From the beginning, we’ve been proud to support the TD Beach to Beacon 10K, an event that brings together world-class competition, community spirit, and a shared commitment to health and wellness,” said Zac Nouri, Retail Market Manager at TD Bank U.S. “This refreshed brand honors the incredible legacy Joan Benoit Samuelson and so many others have built over the past 28 years, while looking ahead to the future of this iconic Maine tradition. We’re proud to continue supporting the race and the positive impact it has on runners, volunteers, and communities across the state.”
“It truly takes a village to put on this iconic race year after year,” said Samuelson, who envisioned a world-class race along the scenic shore of Cape Elizabeth nearly three decades ago. “Our new brand reflects our positioning as the world-class 10K that exemplifies the essence of Maine, honoring the rich history of this race and looking to a hopeful future.”
“Today we want to celebrate the sponsors who make this event possible,” said Laurie Mitchell, president of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K Board of Directors. “We are so grateful for their generosity and enthusiasm for our mission of hosting a premier event that transcends the sport of running, celebrates lifelong wellness, and makes a lasting impact on our local Maine community.”
