confronting the terrifying ‘Curse of Wilton Waldrop!’

Strand on the Air presents Halloween special

Thu, 10/15/2020 - 10:30pm

The Strand Theatre presents the “Strand on the Air Halloween Special,” an original radio variety show, on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m., with a re-broadcast on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m.

The shows feature comedy skits and music, and can be heard by tuning in to WRFR at 93.3 in Rockland, 99.3 in Camden, or by streaming at WRFR.org. Each show will then be available to stream on the Strand Theatre website at RocklandStrand.com, and as a podcast.

Tune in to this Special Edition for Halloween laughs and tunes with Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players, along with Brittany Parker and Dan Bookham. Musical guests will be mandolinist Jim Coffman of the Blake Rosso Band and New York based singer-songwriter Elizabeth May, last seen at the Strand in “Zodiac Math.”

“Don’t miss a special extended-length visit to Abysmal Point, where Mrs. Grunden, Lilita, and Gertie confront the terrifying ‘Curse of Wilton Waldrop!’ and All Things Rescinded returns with an in-depth look at high-tech, socially distant Trick or Treating,” said Strand, in a news release.

Like all Strand on the Air broadcasts, the Halloween edition is written, directed, and edited by House Manager Liz McLeod. Instead of a live stage production, cast members will contribute their parts from home via the Internet.
