For the past 30 years, Steve McAllister has served Coastal Mountains Land Trust in a wide variety of roles including Board member (1990-2003), Board president (1995-2002), stewardship volunteer, committee member, advisor, and chair for the Ducktrap River Watershed campaign. In recognition of his deep commitment to this organization, the Board of Directors recently voted to honor Steve with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

As president, McAllister facilitated the transition from an all-volunteer organization to one guided by the Board and managed by professional staff. After his Board tenure McAllister spent years as a stewardship volunteer in the field, monitoring both the Harkness Preserve and remote sections of the Ducktrap River Preserve.
