WALDOBORO — Stephen Douglas McLean Sr., of Waldoboro, passed away June 12, 2016. He was born Jan. 11, 1954, in Rockland, to Douglas Harold and Joan Sarah (Derosier) McLean.

Stephen attended Waldoboro schools. He worked for Fisher Engineering, as a clam digger and ran machinery for various construction companies in the area. He started his own businesses, which included firewood, lawn mowing, and snow plowing.

Stephen loved his dogs more than anything. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting and staying home watching TV.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Stephen McLean Jr. of Winslow, Lynn Kitridge of Pemaquid, Laurie Lamar and her husband, Mike, of Friendship, and Stephen "Tiger" McLean III of Waldoboro; his sister, Cindy Fales of Thomaston; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, June 21, fro 5 to 7 p.m. and a funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 22, at 1 p.m., both at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Jefferson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stephen's name to Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, ME 04556.
