NORTHPORT — On Saturday, May 4, Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine (SASSMM) will be holding its second annual Knox-Waldo Gala and Auction at Point Lookout Resort, in Northport.

Each year, the staff, board of directors, team partners, and local community members come together to create this event in support of survivors of sexual assault in Maine.

The “Step into Spring” gala is an evening of both fun and fundraising. SASSMM provides hors d’oeuvres, music for dancing, and dozens of silent and live auction items. All proceeds raised from this event go towards free, private prevention and intervention services across the Midcoast.

Tickets for the gala are $50 per person and can be purchased on the website www.sassmm.org, by cash, or by mailing a check to: P.O. Box 990, Brunswick, ME 04011.

Those unable to attend can still contribute to this year’s event by joining one of the various sponsorship levels, making an in-kind donation to the auction, or making a general donation towards the fundraising goal of $10,000.
