St. George announces town office reopening plans

    ST. GEORGE — The Town of St. George has announced its town office will reopen to the general public to conduct business Monday, June 8 with weekday hours of  8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Upon re-opening to the public, there are procedures listed below that will need to be followed to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

    Face coverings are required to enter the building. If you do not have a face covering or you are unable to wear one, you will be asked to call the office from the parking lot and staff will provide curbside service.

    A phone number will need to be provided for contact tracing purposes only. This means the number you provide would only be used to contact you in case of possible COVID-19 exposure. If you don’t want to provide a number please call the office from the parking lot and staff will provide curbside service.

    Please maintain social distancing while waiting in line as well as in the lobby.

    There will be a limit of two people in the lobby at a time. If you arrive with a spouse, friend etc., staff asks only one come in to the lobby to conduct business. If you have a child that you can’t leave unattended, please call the office and we will provide curbside service.

    In order to reduce the amount of time spent in the lobby, please have all of your information ready, for example: old registrations for vehicles, trailers and boats; current mileage and insurance for vehicles; all paperwork from dealership including the window sticker if you have purchased a new vehicle. 

    Please call ahead, especially if you have several transactions, so staff can get working on them to make your visit more efficient.

    There will be no public restrooms available.
