"Share The Wonder" community celebration at Farnsworth, Dec. 6
ROCKLAND — The Farnsworth Art Museum opens its doors during its First Friday on Dec. 6, from 4 - 7 p.m., for a "Share The Wonder" community celebration. Enjoy the sparkling holiday illumination, sip hot chocolate and cider, hang a Wish Tag on the tree, try your hand at art making, listen to live music of the season, and see many featured exhibitions.
"Share The Wonder is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the past year and look ahead to the coming year," said the Farnsworth, in a news release. "Share The Wonder is a phrase that resonates differently for each of us. This year, we focus on the themes of coziness, comfort, contentment, peace, and hope. Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of hygge, we embrace this sense of warmth and togetherness here in midcoast Maine as we prepare for the winter ahead."
In addition to First Friday festivities, the art museum has a variety of programs in December to enjoy, and every Sunday in December is free to visitors, thanks to support from The Wyeth Foundation.
