BELFAST — Summer days are winding down and Fall is just around the corner. Area schools will be opening soon and that includes Senior College at Belfast. The Fall curriculum is posted online (www.belfastsenior
college.org) listing a stimulating array of classes on Literature, History, Language, Gardening, the Environment, Music, Art, Political Science, Religion, World Events, etc.

The members of the Curriculum Committee strongly encourage everyone over age 50 to check the offerings for in the words of a member: “The classes are stimulating, thought provoking, educational as well as just plain
fun!,” according to Senior College, in a news release.

Senior College is more than just a learning experience for it offers an opportunity to make new friends as well as catch up with neighbors in the community.

Fall Session begins Thursday, September 19 and runs for six consecutive Thursdays, ending October 24. In addition, there are three one-day classes scheduled this year dealing with the Opera, Maine’s Working Waterfront, and a Birthday Celebration for the great Leonardo da Vinci. 

The cost for each six week class is $35 plus a yearly membership fee of $25 per person.
