Scouting BSA Pack 200’s most recent monthly camping trip brought them to Mount Desert Island for an idyllic weekend of camping and hiking in Acadia National Park. During the weekend, scouts worked on advancements, which included completing a ten mile hike, which is one of the requirements for a Hiking Merit Badge.

The highlight of the trip was hiking to the summit of Cadillac Mountain and enjoying scenic views of the ocean and surrounding islands. The troop is looking forward to climbing Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State park later this month.

The troop also participated in Camden’s Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 31. Scouts of all ages marched together to recognize those who have given their lives in service to our country.
