People from Waldoboro area welcoming Santa Claus to their town.

WALDOBORO – Hundreds of people showed up to welcome Santa to the village. This annual event has been a Waldoboro Fire Department tradition for decades.

Santa was brought to the center of town escorted by 17 firetrucks from around the area, some decorated with Christmas lights. After telling Santa their wishes for Christmas, each child was given a gift of candy from the firefighters. During this wonderful event, the firefighters' families helped spread some Christmas cheer, with cookies and hot cocoa.
