Rockport Garden Club announces 2020 high school scholarships

The Rockport Garden Club recently awarded 2020 scholarships to three local graduating seniors pursuing horticultural or environmental related degrees.  

Audrey Bowman, of Camden, the student of Jeffery Bowman and Heidi Honecker, will study environmental or marine science with plans to pursue a career in research.  

Chloe A. Cognard, of Camden, the student of Kathleen Dullea, plans to study biology and is looking forward to a career within the field of the biological sciences. 

Eleanor Greer, of Camden, the student of Sarah and Wendell Greer, plans to study environmental studies and policy looking towards a career in the field of environmental policy making.  

All three students are currently finalizing their schools of choice.  

As part of Rockport Garden Club’s mission, each June scholarships are awarded to students who are beginning or continuing their education in horticulture or environmental fields. The scholarships are awarded based upon planned curriculum, academic record, and community service and level of need, according to the Club, in a news release.
