Rockland Police Department hires new officer
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Police Department has hired a new officer, according to a news release on its Facebook page Feb. 9.
Connor Kerivan was born and raised in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire. He grew up in the outdoors, spending much of his youth hunting, fishing and riding ATVs and snowmobiles.
After he graduated from high school, Kerivan went on to pursue a bachelor's degree in Conservation Law Enforcement at Unity College, graduating in December 2020.
During the summer between his junior and senior year of college, he worked for the Old Orchard Beach Police Department as a summer reserve officer, where he completed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy pre-service training.
In 2020, after graduating from college, Kerivan went back to New Hampshire and was hired by the Berlin Police Department, where he went through the 185th Full Time Police Academy.
Connor worked as a Patrol Officer with Berlin Police Department, until joining the Rockland Police Department.
