Rockland Main Street presents Music On Main

ROCKLAND – Music on Main happens every Wednesday night from 5 to 7 p.m. and it is brought to you - free of charge - by the folks at Rockland Main Street Inc.
This is a 10-week series that will end Aug. 28. Music is cancelled with rain showers. Many different styles of music will be presented throughout the series.
Tonight they had Kyle Saryani playing an eclectic assortment of music using many sound effects, guitar and vocals. Saryani, who was set up in the Winslow Holbrook Park located on the corner of Park and Main, was very entertaining to watch and to listen to. He had a lot going on, as you will see in his video.
Walking down Main Street, one could start to lose the sound coming from the park while getting closer to Key Bank, where Cole Barbour and Aaron Clarke were playing some outstanding jazz guitar together. Both of these artists graduated from hIgh school this spring; Barbour is headed to Canada to go to college while Clarke is enrolled at USM. Both will be studying music.
All the way to the end of Main Street, in front of Fiore, Kate Paquin was set up playing an electric piano and singing some very mellow, easy-listening songs that sounded very good, but unfortunately was drowned out a lot by traffic and that day's wind.
Each week for the rest of the summer the duo of Barbour and Clark, along with Paquin will be playing. And each week there will be different artists as well.
Many of the art galleries, retail stores and restaurants are open to enjoy as you walk from performer to performer.
