ROCKLAND — Would you like a snuggly somebody to read to this summer? Youth ages 0 -18 are invited to visit the Rockland Public Library to "adopt" a new cat or dog stuffie to keep, beginning June 28.

“While supplies last, we will be handing out fuzzy friends with adoption certificates to celebrate this year's Summer Reading theme: Tails & Tales,” said the Library, in a news release.

While you are here, pick up the Summer Reading registration sheet and log your reading in preparation for the start of Summer Reading Program on July 5. You do not need a library card to adopt a pet or to participate in the Summer Reading Program.

The library is located at 80 Union Street Rockland, Maine 04841. For more information, call (207) 594-0310 or email refdesk@rocklandmaine.gov.
