ROCKLAND — Catching up with the Classics, Rockland Library's book group, is changing its meeting time to the fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

Catching Up with the Classics gives people a chance to read some classics they might have missed or revisit them. Part-time library employee and lifelong lover of literature, Mary Ann Giasson, facilitates the group.

Participants have a chance to explore and perhaps broaden their definition of a classic, read both fiction and non-fiction classics, and branch out to modern classics as well.

The group discusses a different title each month.

On January 28, the group will discuss two pieces by Virginia Woolf: To the Lighthouse and her extended essay, A Room of One’s Own.

On February 25, they will talk about Maya Angelou’s autobiographical I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.

And on March 25, the monthly title is James Fennimore Cooper’s The Last of the Mohicans.

    New members are always welcome.

The group meets downstairs in the Library’s Board Room.

Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. in Rockland. FMI: 594-0310.
