Rockland EMS makes plea for N95 masks

ROCKLAND — Rockland Fire & EMS is reaching out to all contractors, painters, store owners, medical offices, and anyone else who may have N95 masks.

The supply of proper personal protection equipment (PPE) is low, according to Rockland Fire Chief Chris Whytock. So low, in fact, that the Department is being told that relief won’t come within the coming weeks.

“I am pleading with anyone who is willing to either donate or sell them to our department,” he said. “We would welcome any amount that is out there and not being used for healthcare workers and first responders. Please call the firehouse at 207-594-0318 and we can arrange to have them dropped off or even picked up.”
