Rockland Elks recognize 2019 Elks Scholars

ROCKLAND — Rockland Elks Lodge #1008 hosted five of its eight local scholarship winners and their parents at a Lodge meal, June 25, to congratulate them on being named the 2019 Class of Elks Scholars.
The honorees introduced themselves and their parents to the membership present.
Lodge Scholarship Chairman Bill Bachofner presented a few interesting facts about each recipient gleaned from their applications.
Each student was awarded a one-time $2,000 scholarship to help defray their college expenses.
The five awardees in attendance were:
Makaila Hickey (Oceanside), Igli Biahaku (Oceanside), Samuel Hebert (Camden Hills), Hattie Watmough (Medomak Valley), and Emalee Grant (Medomak Valley).
