Robert Edward Philbrook, obituary

MERSHON, Georgia — Robert Edward Philbrook, living in Mershon, Georgia, passed away at the age of 83 on May 24, 2020, after a period of declining health.

He was born on September 6, 1936 in Belfast, Maine, to Delvin and Hazel Philbrook. 

Robert spent six years in the Navy, was dedicated to his religion and worked as a tradesman in small engine repair all of his life. He was a hard worker and instilled this in the lives of his five children. 

His favorite past-times were playing the guitar and singing country music to anyone who would listen. He enjoyed being the center of attention when singing, dancing, cracking jokes or doing front hand-springs. He enjoyed driving cars fast and furious and even had the opportunity to drive at Daytona Speedway. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Ruby, who resides in Georgia; his five children and significant others: Brenda and Kershin, Bob and Darlene, Walter and Kathy, Rachel and Derek, Elsie and Paul and their mother Sheila. 

Also, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and lots of other relatives to whom we send our love.
