Richard A. ‘Rick’ St. Clair, obituary

NORTHPORT — Richard A. “Rick” St. Clair, 71, of Northport, passed away quietly and peacefully after a period of declining health on May 2, 2021, with family by his side.

Rick was born in Rockland, Maine on March 7, 1950. He attended schools in Rockland, and worked at National Sea and Penobscot Frozen Foods, until his retirement in 2002.

In his early years, Rick took his children on family trips to Santa’s Village, Storyland and Disneyland. He also enjoyed his trips to Hawaii with his wife, Ellen. He had many hobbies including camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and using his tractor.

Rick also had a love for vintage muscle cars, enjoyed playing pool with his brother Gary and was a NASCAR fan who appreciated each time he was able to go see a race in person. He also enjoyed going to the local race tracks to cheer on family and was known to always have a joke at the ready.

Rick was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Katherine (Dean) St. Clair.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ellen (Robinson) St. Clair; His children, Jason St. Clair and wife Whitney of Lincolnville, Jamie St. Clair and wife Pam of Hampden, and Heather St. Clair and partner Steve Emerson of Lincolnville; brothers, Gary St. Clair and wife Judy of Alabama, and Jerry of Rockport.

Rick also leaves behind his grandchildren, Chandler, Isabella, Callan, Lexi, and great-grandchild Paisley.

He loved his Jack Russell, Abby-girl, and his previous dog, Foxi.

Private services will be held at a later date.
