Restorative Justice announces new volunteer informational sessions, October training dates

A new session of Foundations in Restorative Justice training is being starts in the middle of this month for local residents who want to become restorative justice volunteers in Midcoast Maine.

“Want to learn more?” said RJP Maine, in a news release. “Come to one of our upcoming info sessions to learn about what restorative justice is, what RJP Maine does, and the many roles that our volunteers can choose.”

These commitment-free sessions will take place via Zoom; participants will learn more about RJP’s interactive and accessible training sequence.  (Check it out at www.rjpmidcoast.org)

Info sessions are scheduled for the following dates/ times - choose the one that works best for you. Please note: registration is required so that RJP can get you the Zoom link.

Tuesday, October 11, from 12 - 1 p.m.
Wednesday, October 12, from 6 - 7 p.m. 

Volunteers can serve on a local steering team to guide the growth of restorative practices; facilitate or mentor in the Harm Repair Program; working on advocacy and policy projects or participating in an Open Table process to welcome someone returning to community post-incarceration.

“There’s a place for you!” said the release. “You are needed!”
