BELFAST — The days are getting a bit longer and while the white stuff is still covering the ground we sense it won’t be too long before spring makes her presence known, according to Belfast Senior College, in a news release.

Spring means, among many things, a new session at Senior College Belfast and a renewed sense of interest and curiosity.

The 2019 Spring Session offerings should lure you out of your winter doldrums and offer informative and interesting courses, topics, and the opportunity to meet new and see old friends and acquaintances, according to the release.

This spring’s curriculum includes a variety of classes in Literature, History, Language, Gardening, Technology, Current world issues, Philosophy, Art, Meditation, Religion and Science.

Belfast is home to many individuals with a diverse wealth of talent and expertise in a wide range of subjects who are willing to share their knowledge. In addition to the six week courses, there are two one day classes offered, one in April and one in May.

Course descriptions, materials required, and Instructor information is online at www.belfastseniorcollege.org.

Registration is now open and you can register online (www.belfastseniorcollege.org) or down load a form and mail it in.

Spring classes begin on Thursday, March 28 and run for six consecutive Thursdays, ending May 2. All classes are offered at the Hutchinson Center, Rte. 3, in Belfast.

Register early for classes, and be sure to order your text(s) and/or materials at least TWO weeks in advance.

Annual registration fee is $25, valid Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, and is required for all courses, except summer, which is free.

Six-week courses are $35, while one-day or two-day classes are $20.
