Randall C. Ellis, obituary

BELFAST- Randall C. Ellis, 71 of Belfast, passed away in Augusta on March 25, 2019. He was born in Bangor on June 1, 1947 and was adopted by Charles and Lavon (Buzzell) Ellis.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He played baseball in his high school years. He was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. Randy loved God and his country and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

His wife, Hazel, predeceased him in 2012 and he missed her dearly, always calling her "my little wife". He was also predeceased by his parents.

Randy is survived by his sister, Carolyn Rideout of Bangor, brother Paul Randall of Bangor, adopted brother Scott Ellis and wife Shirley of Swanville; adopted siblings, Lindy Ellis and Terrell Ellis of both of Nevada; his step-children, Linda Cunningham of Waterville, Wayne and Joann Harvey of Belfast, Keith and Linda Harvey of Palmyra, Philip and Cindy Potvin of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Steven and Joan Harvey of Searsmont, Jeff and Joy Harvey of Tennessee.

He enjoyed every visit with his many grandchildren laughing, joking and telling stories. Also had many nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him for his heart of gold.

A graveside service will held on May 18, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
