SOUTH THOMASTON — Priscilla Clark Chamblin, 93, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2020.

She was born on May 2, 1926, in Des Moines Iowa, the daughter of Morton Eliot Clark and Ruth Elizabeth Miller Clark.

She grew up in both La Jolla and Holtville California, graduating from La Jolla High School in 1944. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles.

She met her husband, John S. Chamblin, at Convair Aeronautics in San Diego. They were married 64 years and lived in California and Virginia before retiring in 1986 to Rockport, Maine.

Before retiring to Maine she worked briefly at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla and Convair Aeronautics in San Diego. But her favorite “job” was taking care of her family. Once her daughters were grown, she worked at Defense Nuclear Agency and for another government agency.

In 2008 she and John moved to Florida, but returned to South Thomaston in 2012.

At the time of her passing, Priscilla was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, in Camden.

Predeceased by her parents, five of her siblings, and her son in-law, “Bud,” she is survived by her daughters Karen Chamblin Walker of Cocoa Florida; Sherry Chamblin Pearson and her husband Steve of St. George; her
brother, Alan Clark of La Jolla California; her granddaughter, Sarah Pearson Davis and her husband Will of Anchorage Alaska; her grandson, James Sheridan Pearson and his wife Rachel of Shawnee Oklahoma; and five
great-grandchildren.

Priscilla’s family has chosen to remember her life privately and she will be interred alongside her husband at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
