NORTHPORT — Preparations for the 114th Camden High School Alumni Banquet began with a meeting of the CHS Alumni Association Board, March 14, under the new president, Roger Moody, class of 1961.

The Banquet will be held Friday, Aug. 9, in the Ballroom at Point Lookout Resort’s Hedges Hall in Northport,

This year’s Banquet will include reserved tables for reunion classes of ‘44, ‘49, ‘54, ‘59 and ‘64.

The Association presents four scholarships each year and leis will be sold for $5 for the Heads and Tails game with proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund.

Anyone wishing to donate to the fund may send a check payable to CHS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUND, to Sheila McFarland, 448 Youngtown Road, Lincolnville ME 04849.

The silent auction will be held and anyone wishing to donate a new or gently used item are asked to contact David Ames at damesref@tidewater.net or call him at (207)789-5118.

Special Recognition Awards are made each year. Anyone wishing to nominate a CHS alumnus for this award should contact Rodney Lynch at 207-594-7663, email cpo9@ne.twcbc.com, or send the name and information to Rodney at 123 Summer Street, Rockland ME 04841 before June 30, 2019.

Nominations are based on contributions to the CHS Alumni Association, Camden Community and prominence to Camden and the local area.

The Board requests that this information be passed along to all Camden High School and Camden Rockport High School Classes of ‘66, ‘67 and ‘68 Alumni.

“We don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance to socialize with classmates and other alumni, renew old friendships and enjoy a fun filled evening,” said the Board, in the release.
