Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce begins search for new CEO

The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce has officially launched its search for the next President/CEO of the state’s fourth largest Chamber. 

“We’re looking for a visionary self-starter who can lead the organization’s programs and strategies to drive economic growth in the Penobscot Bay region,” said Search Committee Co-Chair Jake Miller, in a news release. “She or he will become the lead spokesperson for the business community, a strong advocate for tourism and other economic drivers of growth in the region, and a high-profile leader in the community at large.”

Search Committee Co-Chair Diane Lebson said: “The Chamber and the Midcoast region are coming out of the pandemic on very solid footing, which positions our community as a great place to launch and grow businesses. As the Chamber enters this next phase of our trajectory, we are seeking a visionary leader who can advance our members’ interests while serving as a trusted resource for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and other commercial ventures.”

  • Jodie Heal, President, Heal Accounting
  • John Viehman, President, United Midcoast Charities

 

The Committee has reached out to a wide array of networks to seek candidates, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Northern New England Chapter, Live + Work in Maine, Maine Association of Nonprofits, and the National Association of Chamber of Chamber Executives.
