CAMDEN — Quarry Hill will host Melissa Andrews, director of humane education and outreach, for a free presentation on the Peace Ridge Sanctuary on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m., at the Anderson Inn.
"Join us for an inspiring talk about the sanctuary’s mission to provide lifelong care for rescued farm animals and to promote compassion, nonviolence, and ethical living," said a Quarry Hill news release.
Hear stories of the animals who call the sanctuary home, learn about the connection between animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and social justice, and consider how everyday choices can help create a more peaceful world for all beings.
Part of Quarry Hill’s awareness series for adults age 50 and better, this event is free; however, advance registration is required. To sign up, call Quarry Hill at 301‑6116 or email qhinfo@mainehealth.org.
