SPRUCE HEAD — The Craignair Gallery invites the public to the Opening Reception of Vibrant Solstice: Paintings for Year’s End an exhibition of fine art by Maine artist, Susan Bartlett Rice, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring live music by Jim Vander Noot.

The artist draws inspiration from the color and patterns of the natural world and the changing seasons. She represents Maine landscapes with a contemporary eye. “Vibrant Solstice" is a celebration of nature and the promise of renewal. This selection includes some of Rice’s most recent paintings and prints.

The exhibition features works that capture the rich hues of late summer and autumn and the transition into serene, cooler, tones of approaching winter. 

Vibrant Solstice: Paintings for Year’s End will be on exhibition from November 27, 2024 through January 7, 2025.
