Open auditions for Belfast Maskers' one-act plays

    BELFAST — The Belfast Maskers will be holding open auditions for an evening of one-act plays, Saturday, Feb. 23 (5 - 7 p.m.) and Sunday, Feb. 24 (12 - 2 p.m.) at their new home, The Basil Burwell Community Theater at 17 Court Street in Belfast.

    Prepared readings are not necessary.
     
    The performances, scheduled for the weekends of May 3 and May 10, will consist of three one-act plays: Present Slaughter, by Jane Dewey and Don Starkey (directed by Chip Curry and Angela Domenichelli), Seven Menus, by David Ives (directed by Greg Marsanskis) and The Vandal, by Hamish Linklater (directed by Robin Jones). 
     
    Roles are available for multiple adult men and women, 20-60 years old (or so), including a specific need for an older teenage boy.

    The May performances will take the form of an intimate cabaret-style setting, with wine and cheese.
