Online auction fundraiser for Camden Hills 2028 trip to Spain ends Nov. 17
Camden Hills Regional High School students are holding an online auction to support their 2028 trip to Spain. The auction offers a chance to bid on the many gift cards, experiences, art, shopping, travel adventures, and other goods and services generously donated by area businesses.
Each student traveler is responsible for raising their portion of group costs that include bus transportation to Boston Logan Airport and a scholarship for the full cost of a future student’s trip. The scholarship ensures that travel opportunities are available to all students regardless of family resources. After students meeting their portion of group costs, students must also raise at least 20% of their individual trip costs. Some students rely on raising most or all of the cost of their trip.
According to Mary Kay Felton, in a news release, opening bids range from as little as $10 to $15 for gift cards and as high as $2025 to $8000 for a trip to one of the many foreign travel destinations up for bidding.
"Bidding on auction items is great way to show appreciation for local businesses who contribute to many worthy causes throughout the year while helping students reach their trip fundraising goals," said the news release.
The auction is currently live and will remain active through November 17. Click here to link to the auction website.
